The Ways to Mend a Broken Heart

As Al Green once said, "How can you mend a broken heart?" It's a tough situation when you are dealing with a break up because the one person in the world that can take all the pain and hurt you are feeling won't take you back.
This can very well be one of the most traumatic experiences in your life.
The one person that you would have spent the rest of your life with, the person that you loved with all your heart and soul, the person that you would have done anything for, said they didn't want to be with you anymore.
This is a tough pill to swallow, even for the strongest of the strong.
That's why you can see even the most independent, strong-willed and stable people break down and turn into an emotional mess after a breakup.
So back to the question, how can you mend a broken heart? Well the first thing you need to do is let your pride down.
This is a type of situation in which you don't want to be Mr.
or Mrs.
independent.
You're going to need to seek out the help and guidance of close friends and family.
The main thing to keep in mind when you are talking to your friends and family is to be honest with them.
Let your guard down and really tell them what you're going through.
The more honest you are with them, the more of the pain they'll be able to take away.
So if you're feeling super depressed, tell them.
If you're feeling fearful that you're ex might be seeing someone new, tell them.
If you feel like the world is crumbling down over you, tell them.
If they've gone through a similar type of experience, they'll be able to share with you some great nuggets of advice.
The words of wisdom from your friends are worth more than all the breakup books you'll find at Barnes and Noble.
Once you start turning towards others for help, you'll soon feel a much better sense of self and a bit of confidence inside of you will grow.
