Installation for Loose-Strap LATCH Car Seats

• 1). Place the car seat sideways into the rear seat. If installing a front-facing seat, position the car seat with the back closest to you. If installing a rear-facing seat, position the car seat with the back away from you.
  
  
• 2). Connect the car seat's farthest LATCH strap to the far anchor. The hook should extend over the LATCH anchor with the hook's opening facing downward. The strap will be loose.
  
  
• 3). Rotate the car seat into its final position.
  
  
• 4). Connect the car seat's closest LATCH strap to the closest anchor. The hook should extend over the LATCH anchor with the hook's opening facing downward.
  
  
• 5). Tighten each strap while pushing the car seat downward.
  
  
• 6). Attach the center strap if the car seat is forward facing.
  
  

Installation of Rigid LATCH Car Seats

• 1). Place the car seat into the rear seat in its final position.
  
  
• 2). Align the rigid LATCH connectors located on the car seat with the LATCH anchors.
  
  
• 3). Push each connector down into the LATCH anchors. They will make an audible "Click" sound when secured.
