Educators and parents use the Enchanted Learning website to help put together creative curricula or to find ideas for educational and craft projects. In addition to offering material about different holidays, there are a number of birthday-themed projects at the Enchanted Learning site. While the site has a large amount of subscription-only content, there are some birthday ideas accessible for free. - Learn how to say words like cake, ice cream, gift, sing and "Happy Birthday" in four different languages: French, German, Italian and Spanish, for instance. The picture dictionary format makes it easy even for younger children. See how many things you can name without peeking.
- For a craft to recognize the whole class or family's birthdays, make a paper birthday wheel. When finished, it will display the name and day of those who have birthdays in the month that shows through the window. Hang it near the calendar, so no one's birthdays are forgotten.
- Make your own custom 3D bird birthday card with a beak that opens and closes as you open the card. Decorate with crayons, markers or paint to make the bird face, or as a dinosaur, fish or monster.
- Make a memory box out of an old cigar box using the instructions provided on Enchanted Learning. Put the birthday child's name, current photo and the year on the box and fill with mementos from the previous year, such as a postcard from a family vacation, clippings, movie ticket stubs, contest ribbons and other items to remember the year.
- Use one of the templates provided on Enchanted Learning to make a paper thank you card to give to friends and family after the party.
