How to Calibrate a Saturn Vue Compass

    • 1). Find a parking lot or area with little to no traffic. You'll need to drive in an awkward manner to calibrate the compass.

    • 2). Inspect the compass display on the right-corner of your rear view mirror. If the display reads "CAL," continue. If not, hold down the "On" button for 10 seconds, until the display reads "CAL."

    • 3). Drive around in a relatively small circle for a few minutes. Let your Vue coast (do not apply the gas); stay at a speed of 5 mph or less.

    • 4). Wait for the compass to display a direction (NE, S, SW, etc). Once the compass displays a direction, it is calibrated.
