History of the 2006 Infinti G35
- The original Infiniti G series sedan line was introduced in 1991 and was on the market until 2002, with a two-year break for the 1997 and 1998 model years. It was a fixed up version of Nissan's European market sedan called the Primera. The G35 introduced in 2003 was an all-new car with no resemblance to the original G sedan.
- The 2006 G35 was offered with only one engine, a 3.5-liter V-6. The standard automatic transmission version could generate 280 horsepower, while the trim with a manual transmission produced 298 hp. This is the same engine used in the original 2003 version, though some technical tweaks introduced in the 2005 model gave the engine a bit more power.
- All trims come standard with driver and passenger side airbags, ABS brakes, plus stability and traction control.
