Stand the bamboo fence roll vertically beside a corner post of the chain-link fence and have your friend hold it. Unroll a 5-foot section of the bamboo fence and let your friend move back along the fence 5 feet, holding the bamboo fence upright and against the chain-link fence. - 2

Use a 12-inch wire to attach the end of the bamboo fence roll to the bottom of the corner post of the existing fence. Slide the wire through the bottom end of the unrolled bamboo roll fence and through the bottom chain link of the corner post. Bend the wire and pull it around the corner post and back through the bamboo fence. Fold the two ends of the wire together and twist them tight. Bend the end of each wire down and back onto itself. - 3

Attach the middle of the bamboo fence close to the top of the corner post with a 12-inch length of wire. (Add an extra length of wire if necessary to keep the top of the bamboo fence from sagging at the top.) Use 10-inch lengths of wire every 4 or 5 feet to attach the bamboo fence to the top and bottom horizontal chain-link fence stringers. - 4

Continue around the chain-link fence, connecting the bamboo rolled fence with 12-inch wires to the posts and 10-inch wires to the stringers. (Add more wires when needed.) Connect the next roll of bamboo fencing when the end of a roll is reached. Attach with 12-inch galvanized wire at 12-inch intervals. Finish by fastening the bamboo fencing to the last post of the chain-link fence. Wrap the bamboo fence around the corner of the post and fasten it securely, using three wires and your pliers.
